Adam graduated with his BA in marketing from Tulane University in 1999. During his tenure in New Orleans, Adam worked at an authentic New Orleans restaurant, learning the ins and outs of all aspects of the industry. His experiences, from bussing tables, to serving guests, provided him with insight and knowledge of the restaurant/bar operations. Seeking a change of venue Adam moved to the Los Angeles / Santa Monica area. Initially, he performed as an improv comedian at a local night club, quickly followed by his engagement as a public relations agent. To supplement his income, Adam began working at Q’s Billiard Club. As Adam worked for the company he took on increased responsibility while gaining experience and knowledge of the rest/bar operations and management.
Chris Shanley, (Owner/Operator)
Chris studied Hotel and Restaurant management at the college of Staten Island and continued the focus at Hunter College. In 1997 Chris began tending bar in Manhattan at a hot spot called American Spirits. Within a short time he was promoted from bartender to manager, where he managed for over three years. Chris then capitalized on his experience and accepted an offer as bar manager/head bartender at ILO, a fine dining restaurant in the upscale Bryant Park Hotel. Almost immediately, Chris took over operations at Cellar Pub, one of New York’s hottest spots. He was quickly promoted, and began working for a Restaurant Quality Group. After only one year he was offered the coveted job of purchasing for the entire hotel. Since moving to Los Angeles, Chris has continued his tradition of hard work, knowledge, and experience to work at some of the most well known clubs in Los Angeles.
Philip Boyd, (Owner/Operator)
Philip Boyd graduated high school in 1993. He began working in the bar industry when he was 18 years old. Starting out as a bartender at a local bar in his home town, he ended up managing the same bar until he decided to make his way to Los Angeles at the age of 21. Philip began acting as soon as he landed. Recognizable to many people from his numerous acting roles, such as his stints on Young and the Restless and Saving Grace, as well as movies like First Daughter and Deadland have added to Philip’s enormous popularity as a bartender in Los Angeles. After bartending at a bar at the Westside hotspot Armadillo’s, he was quickly recruited to work at the busiest sport’s bar on the Westside, Q’s Billiard Club. Philips hard work, and work ethic is an unmatched commodity.
Robyn Landrum, (Owner/Operator)
Robyn graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL in 1995. After being the star of the hit show The Aquanauts, Robyn began playing music. While drawing huge crowds to come and watch him sing and play guitar, Robyn began managing Q’s Billiards. During his long tenure at Q’s, Robyn has managed countless record breaking months, including numerous with sales close to 400,000. Robyn has managed all aspects of the restaurant (including liquor orders, security precedent, and server training). His restaurant knowledge is vast, and his attitude of team is invaluable.
